Spring Session Now Booking!
Begins January 20th on Fridays CLASS CAN BE PRO-RATED IF JOINING MID-SESSION. Fridays 10-12pm $150 12 weeks
with instructor Staci Spivak
Ages 7 yrs and up All Skill levels
This course will cover drawing basics for ages 8-10 yrs, including perspective, composition and proportion. Skills will be honed on a variety of exercises including still life, upside down drawing and quick drills.
We will start in pencil, then progress to black and white charcoal. Later we will try different mediums for drawing and eventually painting (ie colored pencil, pastel acrylics and watercolor). For those with more experience, exercises will be more challenging. This is the type of class that will evolve with your child. Supplies may be purchased separately or with advance notice purchased by instructor. SUPPLY LIST

Ages 10 and up: Fridays 12-2pm beginning January 20th (see calendar) Course is designed beyond the basics for more mature and advanced students. Different drawing and mediums will be used to study different artists throughout history. Students will work on their pieces for an extended weeks.

(Arrive between 11am-3pm) ALLOW 1 HOUR TO 1-1/2 HOURS PER PROJECT
FOR THE KIDS:
Choose from such projects as a Pumpkin, Leaf Dish, Piggy Bank, Big Mouth Frog (which can be used as a soap holder), Taco Fish, Name Plaque, Garden Caterpillar, Monster Buddy, Box or Sea Turtle, Gifts for Mom or Grandma such as a Mug, Hand or Footprint spoon rest and more.
FOR THE TINY ONES:
Put the baby or child's hands in clay to create to create pieces such as a plaque, hands in clay mug, spoon rest, 4 baby's first Christmas ornaments
FOR ADULTS:
Mug, Jewelry Tray, Serving Dish, Plaque, Set of 6 Garden Markers, Cross, Vase, Knitting Bowl, planter, and more.

Saturday fun on the pottery wheel and hand building in clay.
Paleo-Art "Fun with Fossils" (Ages 6 and up)
with Al HulStrunk of the Natural Sciences Institute $35
Explore science through art as you get to see and learn from real fossils a Paleontologist. The kids will color, paint and assemble fossils and prehistoric creatures in construction paper and plaster. It's fun to hear about Al's adventures finding dinosaur foot prints and fossils.
We are working on building classes and adding them to the calendar.
