This class begins with the very basics of PMC and takes you beyond those basics. Techniques covered will also include: keeping clay hydrated, textures, construction, bail making, sanding, torch & kiln firing, burnishing, finishing and patina. Topics to include: Making and using Lavender paste, firing stones in PMC, tumbling and much more. You will create your very own pendant and earrings of fine silver. In addition, you will be free to make other pieces as your time allows. Mini Intro to Precious Metal Clay

5pm-9pm Level: BeginnerThis class is just as it's name states. It covers the very basics of PMC. In this class, the student will create a pair of earrings utilizing textures. Techniques covered will include construction, textures, sanding, and torch firing. We will complete the class with the finishing technique of hand burnishing.*If you want just a sample what PMC is about, then this class is for you.
Fine Silver Characters
Saturday, October 16th 10am-5pm
Level: Intermediate to Advanced $150 includes materials
In this class, the student will be creating a face sculpture of fine silver using Precious Metal Clay. The face will soon become a character once additional elements and shapes are added. By adding a bail, the character will become a pendant. Cubic Zirconia will be set as the eyes. This is a very fun and creative class. Amazing how the character begins
to appear as early asthe sculpting of the face. An excellent class to learn more about the versatility and workability of PMC. Additional techniques will be smoothing, adding components, as well as creating 3 dimensional fine silver art jewelry. The Instructor works closely with students to guide each into sculpturing the shape and features of the face.
PMC & Keum Boo
Saturday, August 21st 10am-5pm
Level: Intermediate to Advanced $155 includes materials
Keum Boo is an ancient Asian technique of applying 24k gold foil to fine silver. In this class the student will create a lightly textured pendant with PMC3 clay. The student will then accent the pendant with the 24k gold foil by using the Keum Boo technique. The class will begin with a short review of PMC. Techniques covered will also include: construction, bail making, sanding, kiln firing, burnishing, Keum Boo, finishing and patina. In addition, you will be free to make other pieces as your time allows. This class is an excellent way to learn about the Keum Boo process and how to create multi metal creations.
PMC Level 1 Certification Workshop Sept 17-18th 9am-5pm
The level 1 Certification class is a two day workshop that teaches specific PMC techniques.
PMC Level 2 Certification Workshop Sat/Sun Oct 23th-24th 9am-5pm
This class systematically takes the student from the projects of Level 1 to more complex projects to include enamel, bezel set stones, mirror finish, incorporating fine silver wire and PMC Gold.
