Learn how to use materials in ways that you've never imagined. This
workshop will focus on methods using a variety of materials along with

Cynthia Birdsong is a Nashville artist and art educator who understands the importance of art and how itshapes our society. She received her B.S. in Studio Art (painting focus) at Peabody College of Vanderbilt University and her Master’s degree in Art Education and Gifted Education from Belmont University. Cynthia has taught art on the Pre-School, Elementary, Secondary and College level. She is a presenter and workshop coordinator for the Southeastern region of the United States with Pearson Curriculum as well as former Tennessee Art Consultant for Crayola. Her other teaching activities include fourteen years as an instructor for adults and children at Cheekwood Museum of Art and Gardens,the Renaissance Center, Watkins College of Art and Design and the Memphis College of Art as well as a guest artist with the Middle Tennessee Mental Health and Substance Abuse Coalition at various locations for the past three years. Cynthia was one of the featured artists in the 2006 Tennessee Masterworks exhibition, artist/presenter at the Tennessee Arts Academy as well as a member/presenter of the National Art Education Association and the Tennessee Art Education .Association. She is currently teaching her own workshops at Plaza Art in Nashville, Cheekwood and is an art instructor at Bellehaven Christian Academy as well as the Director of Bellehaven Arts Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee.
