"Sam" Roh is a glass and jewelry artisan and instructor known for her one-of-a-kind glass jewelry, vases, clocks, and desktop items (letter-openers, bookmarks, etc.) using two or more pieces of fusible glass. She also combines fine and sterling silver with fused glass to create her work. Copper clay is another medium that uses in her work and teaches the techniques in her workshops. Her designs can be found here at the Harpeth Art Center and Gallery and throughout the world in gift shops, studios, and fine art galleries including the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution, the FRIST Center for the Visual Arts and on display in the city hall of Zama, Japan. Sylvanye "Sam" Roh teaches a range of workshops from beginner to advanced at the Harpeth Art Center & Gallery and at other prestigious arts and craft schools across the US.
